Terms & Conditions (EULA)

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) constitute a legal agreement between you and Handdy (the “App”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. About Handdy

Handdy is a hand-recognition game that lets you upload hand images, identify whether an image shows a left or right hand, and view other users’ hand images. The App may also be used to support hand movement recovery and therapeutic exercises.

2. Eligibility and Account

  • You must be legally permitted to use the App in your country.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide (including email, username, first and last name, and avatar if applicable).
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.

3. No Tolerance for Objectionable Content or Abusive Users

There is zero tolerance for content or behavior that is illegal, harmful, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, exploitative, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable. Posting or engaging in such content or behavior is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal of content and suspension or termination of your account.

4. User-Generated Content (UGC) and Copyright

  • You retain ownership of the images and content you upload.
  • By uploading, you grant Handdy a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, and distribute your content within the App for the purpose of operating and improving the service.
  • You represent and warrant that you have all the necessary rights to upload the content and that your content does not violate any third-party rights (including privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights).
  • If you believe content in the App infringes your rights, contact us at handdy@teixe.es with (i) your contact details, (ii) a description of the work you believe is infringed, (iii) a link or description of the infringing content, and (iv) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized. We may remove the content and/or suspend accounts as appropriate.

5. Moderation, Reporting, and Blocking

To comply with App Store Guideline 1.2 for user-generated content, the App includes the following safeguards:

  • Terms acceptance is required. You must agree to these Terms before using features that involve user-generated content.
  • Reporting: You can report content or users you believe are abusive, illegal, or otherwise objectionable. Reports are reviewed and may lead to content removal and/or account suspension.
  • Blocking: You can block other users. Blocking will instantly remove that user’s content from your feed and interactions. Blocking also sends an automated notification to the developer for review.
  • Enforcement: We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend/terminate accounts at our discretion for violations of these Terms. Repeated or severe violations may lead to permanent bans.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Upload content that you do not own or do not have permission to use.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the App or its servers.
  • Use the App in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

7. Data Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect, how we use it, where it is stored (EU), and your rights. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully.

8. Disclaimers

  • The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
  • The App’s therapeutic/rehabilitation features do not constitute medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional for medical decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Handdy, its developer, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenues, or business, arising out of or related to your use or inability to use the App. Our total aggregate liability for any claims relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) to use the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms or if required by law. You may stop using the App at any time. Some sections (e.g., UGC license, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms in the App or on this website and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and, where applicable, the laws of the Member State where the servers are located, without regard to conflict of law principles. Venue for disputes shall be the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
